We’ve Moved!

Back issues of the Brown 1958 Newsletter are now available at the Brown University Library’s Digital Repository. To read or download them you can click here or copy and paste this URL into your browser:
https://repository.library.brown.edu/studio/collections/id_802/

If you prefer, you can send an email request for an issue to us at brown58newsletter@gmail.com and we will send you a PDF (portable document file) you can read onscreen or print out for yourself.

Meanwhile, however, Newsletter Co-Editors Jim Furlong and John Reistrup have taken up new duties at our new Brown Class of 1958 website (URL https://sites.google.com/brown.edu/brown-class-of-1958/ )

We hope you enjoy this class website—and keep checking in on it, because it’s a work in progress. It’s worth “bookmarking” because we will be continually updating it with your thoughts and contributions.

Brown’s Office of Alumni Relations has set it up to be accessible not only on computers but also on tablets and smartphones. It may look somewhat different on each, so if you don’t see a menu on the first page, try clicking on the three-line “hamburger” icon at the upper left that looks like this:

It should expand and show you the entire menu:

  • Home page (the landing site with greetings from Co-Presidents Jane Miluski and Jim Moody)
  • About Us (Class Officers and Class Cabinet)
  • Links page (clickable links to get you to other websites for Brunonians)
  • News and Notes (by and about our classmates)
  • Online Chatter (a selection of emails that have been shared among members of our class)
  • Photo Gallery (showing our 60th reunion in 2018 as well as other gatherings going back to our 50th reunion
  • Perspectives (original essays shared by classmates)
  • Remembering (a page of links to obituaries of classmates as far back as 2008)

From now on we will be posting your news and commentary on the new website. Please submit it via Brown58newsletter@gmail.com. We hope to keep lively conversations going in News and Notes, Online Chatter, and Perspectives.
